<p>In this presentation we are  going to cover how to create a successful internet video campaign. We’re going to discuss keywords, design, frequency, distribution and sharing of your videos. Now, video is one of the quickest and most powerful ways to get your message out on the internet. The search engines love to display video in their results. Using videos you can position yourself as an expert in your industry and get your audience to know, like and trust you before they ever even talk to you.  It’s really a great way to get connected to people before you even get to talk to them.</p>
<p>So, let’s talk about the keywords. Now getting your videos found all has to do with the content and keywords you use in your videos. This is really important if your goal is getting your videos ranked. If that is your goal,  then this is the number thing you need to think about. In 2010 Google implemented speech to text, so the words that are spoken in your video count just as much as the text. This is huge in how your videos get ranked.</p>
<p>So how do you use your keywords? Well, you use them in the title. So when you’re saving this video, and when you’re uploading it, you want to use your keyword as your title. You also want to use the keyword in the first 30 seconds when you’re recording your video. And you want to use it at least once more in your video as well.</p>
<p>So the longer your video is, the more often you will use the keyword naturally.   You want to use it in your description for video sharing sites and  in your tags which are also the keywords that you want to get found for. Include your website in the description of your video as well, but   make sure that you are putting the http:// in there so that it creates a link.</p>
<p>You are designing your videos around your keywords. First you need to think about what keywords you can rank for. So do your keyword research and find things that have high search volume and low competition. Then you also  want to figure out how many videos you can produce, so take a look at the different options you have based on what you’ve found on your keyword research and think about that and it might be based on your budget or time. So, can you do five videos? Can you do twenty? It all depends on what your resources are. Now I encourage you to add a music background to your video It’s really powerful. It creates for a better overall video and if you use the same track all the time it’s really good for you branding. So when People hear that they start to recognize that and link that to you.</p>
<p>As far as filming goes, you need to make sure you have the proper lighting. This is really important if you want to have some quality videos. If you don’t have the experience to do this then you might  want to design different types of videos instead of being on camera. I’d really encourage you not to shoot outside unless it’s appropriate for your business because you cannot control the elements outside, the sun, the clouds and especially the noise level.</p>
<p>Use a camera that has an external microphone. The audio quality is so much better than if you’re using a camera that has an internal mic. If you don’t have a camera like that see if you can borrow one from a friend. The Kodak ZI8 is a relatively inexpensive camera that has external mic that you could use.</p>
<p>Also try not to wear necklaces or jewellery that will interfere with the mic. Once you have your mic pinned on you don’t want anything to brushing up against it.</p>
<p>For the visual aspect, make sure that you are wearing solid colours other than white. Most of your videos should be 30 seconds to 2 minutes in length. Now if you’re giving a demonstration or showing product you can do a longer video because you don’t want to break it up into series of videos. When you’re first getting started, YouTube Is not  going to allow you upload videos that  are long anyway. So what you need to do is cut the video and make it into a series, but most of the videos that you are producing can really be between 30 seconds or 2 minutes in length.</p>
<p>Now always add an introduction. If you want to have a consistent intro, give your name, give your business name; just introduce yourself just as you would if you’re meeting somebody new. It is important that at the end of your video you always have a call to action with your website and your phone number</p>
<p>So how often should you do videos? Well think of it this way &#8211;YouTube is  going to reward you the same way that Google does. Remember that if you’re putting  up frequent relevant content on the internet it’s  going to be better for you and if you’re keeping  your YouTube channel fresh it’s  going to be better for you.</p>
<p>So where do you distribute your videos?  The search engines don’t just display videos that come from YouTube, but other videos sharing sites as well. Another benefit is that every time you upload your videos and put your URL in that description it creates a back link for your website as well .</p>
<p>Here are just a few of other videos sharing sites that you might  want to consider. There’s Viddler, Metacafe, Vimeo, Daily Motion, Veoh and plenty more. So there’s a lot of ways that you can use your videos, you can put it on your blog posts, you can put them on your social media facebook, twitter, linked in. You can send a link to your video in your email campaign.</p>
<p>Blog posts are great way to utilize your videos. It’s really going to help you get video views from your blog reader which helps with the ranking of your videos. You’ve got the video up on youtube that is helping generate a backlinks to your website. You’ve got video views coming from your blog readers and by having those views that helps the rankings of your videos. Any activity around your video is good. You want video views. You want comments. You want likes.</p>
<p>And adding a video to your social media post is always a good idea. Posts with videos are the number one read posts inside Facebook. You can share your videos with your friends and subscribers inside YouTube as well. So you can send your contacts a message and let them know that you uploaded a new video.</p>
<p>Make sure to ask for comments and likes on your videos. The more activity there is around your video the more stickiness it’s  going to have.</p>
<p>So what’s next? Well you need to get active. Get a group together where you can view each other’s videos and comment. It’s  going to make a difference for you if you have just a few You Tube connections. Now don’t get upset if someone doesn’t like your video.</p>
<p>One of the best things about the video is that has the potential to go viral. So make sure you allow others to use your videos. Now inside YouTube there is a sharing feature. It will ask you when you’re uploading your video what kind of rights you  want to give other people. Now if it’s really proprietary content you might  want to protect your video with a watermark or include your information so that they can’t remove that.</p>
<p>So we discussed the basics and how to use your keywords.  We discussed how to design your video. What you need to put in there and how often you should create videos and how often you should distribute them and where you should distribute them.</p>

<p>1) Identify someone, preferably a peer and ask the to watch this video.</p>
<p>2) Create your list of  your accountability questions and give a copy to your buddy.</p>
<p>3) Request a copy of your buddy&#8217;s accountability questions.</p>
<p>4) Agree on predetermined time to call or skype each other.</p>
<p>5) Determine who is going to ask the questions first then run down your partners list of questions.</p>
<p>6) The person asking the questions refrain from commenting, coaching or offering advice.</p>
<p>7) Reverse roles</p>

<p>The coaching process is discussion and action-based, so helping the client to create an action plan is an integral part of coaching. An action plan is a list of steps (actions) that the client is going to take, which should lead to the result that they want. Most action plans are time lined also, which means that dates have been added to each action so the plan is trackable.</p>

<p><strong>Why This Works</strong><br />
The Action Plan puts down on paper what is going to happen and acts a guide and management system for the client and coach. Just putting this “into existence” helps to organize thought, prompt ideas, and identify needed resources.<span id="more-1472"></span></p>
<p><strong>6 Steps To Increasing Your Productivity</strong><br />
1. Get the goal or objective clear, personal and perfect.<br />
2. Write down all the steps to take to reach this goal, in any order. Just get them down on paper.<br />
3. Look to see what else is needed to do or obtain which will guarantee the result occur, not just move the client towards it.<br />
4. Rewrite the steps neatly, in order of action, and time line (puts dates next to) each step. Post the Action Plan in a place where it is frequently seen and prompts you to take action.<br />
5. Arrange for a support and reporting structure to keep the Action Plan alive and the goal being reached.<br />
6. Update the Action Plan with progress or changes.</p>

<li>Have a colleague in a non-competitive business write an endorsed letter on your behalf to his/her clients. You write the letter and take care of the mailing expenses. Offer your friend editing rights to make him comfortable.</li>
<li>Go to local chamber of commerce and offer to help them with their accounting for free for 6 months (your success will generate referrals). Think of them as a center of influence with 1,000+ businesses they might refer you to.<span id="more-1453"></span></li>
<li>Run a seminar on how to increase your profits in your business &#8211; or save money. Give away your notes to anyone who offers you their contact information.</li>
<li>Create target list of select prospects. Call their secretary and ask to send a fax. Send a fax then follow right up with a phone call. She&#8217;ll put you through to the boss if your proposition is powerful.</li>
<li>Donate a small block of your time to a school/fundraising auction. The exposure may draw in some clients.</li>
<li>In a direct mail piece, attach a check made out to yourself in a letter and say, &#8220;I&#8217;ll buy your initial consultation for you.&#8221;</li>
<li>Discover centers of influence in the city and market to them. Could consider them the Dream 100, or donate time to get endorsements.</li>
<li>Join Rotary Club and Toastmasters.</li>
<li>Join up with a hurting magazine to J.V. &#8211; they carry my ads and you help them with your accounting services.</li>
<li>Ask people, &#8220;How would you see us working together?&#8221;</li>
<li>Be the founder of a think tank and invite the brightest minds in the field to participant. As a participant, it implies your own genius. Put a press release out calling for applications.</li>
<li>Go to a client and say, &#8220;Who would you like me to help?&#8221; They will likely suggest someone. This is another way of asking for referrals, but is less &#8220;salesy&#8221;.</li>
<li>Donate your time to a high-profile non-profit or market through big centers of influence. I&#8217;ll get referrals.</li>

<p>This post is a recap of some of the ideas I presented at a workshop for business owners and entrepreneurs sponsored by <a href="http://www.accionsandiego.org/">Accion San Diego</a>. The following video is the power point presentation from that event.</p>

<p>For a long time I have struggled with what seems to be two opposing forces. One being the nature of business and how to make money and the awakening of my spiritually. It wasn’t until I started<span id="more-1419"></span> reading Michael Gerber’s book titled Awakening the Entrepreneur Within that I was finally able to reconcile both worlds. If fact there wasn’t even a need to reconcile these two paths because they were so similar and dealt with many of the same issues that I have experienced personally.</p>
<p>My philosophy for life is easily distilled down to this. Business, relationships and life are our teacher. Let me say it this way I believe that life is our greatest teacher. My purpose in life is to grow and evolve into my full potential. Which in most cases means learning how to eliminate things or let go of things rather than trying to get more of something. With that said, my view of business is really an opportunity to grow and evolve as a human being through some very predictable stage that are also similar to the path or evolution of consciousness.</p>
<p>Okay let me explain how I see life and how that translates or parallels to business. It all begins with an individuals idea that we are some how separate from everything. And then you start going about your life from that assumption as if it where true. What that looks like is I have to look out for me. My faith and trust is solely invested into my own abilities. Therefore I don’t really trust anyone or anything greater than myself at which point I have made a decision to separate myself from the whole of humanity and now must do everything on my own. Hum! Sounds a lot like most entrepreneurs. Right! The ultimate lone ranger.</p>
<p>One of the very sad things I have notice particularly now in the midst of a very challenging economy is people are tiered. As more and more businesses fail and corporate layoffs increase people are down and very discouraged. Best business practiced that once worked in a robust economy are complete and utter failure. As the economy shifts what follows are huge layoff and people reeling in mass confusion as the scramble to reinvent themselves.</p>
<p>Some see this a tremendous opportunity while others believe it is the beginning of the end. As people start to seek out new opportunities based on there past experiences the challenges of not finding suitable work stirs images of the American Dream of perhaps owning my own business. It is often in the ashes of such despair that the entrepreneur is born.</p>

<p>Are you ready?</p>
<p>Okay, here it is. Share the stuff that keeps you small in order to get big.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t worry your coach doesn&#8217;t need to know your deep dark secrets. Those are yours to keep as long as you like.</p>
<p>What will help you benefit from coaching is to share the private concerns you have about yourself and your abilities.</p>
<p>You see, just in communicating these things to someone who is trained to listen to you openly without any judgement is often all it takes to move through these self doubts and fear.</p>
<p>Have you ever been laughed at or disregarded for sharing an idea or feeling that was real for you?<span id="more-1405"></span></p>
<p>If it has happened to you enough, chances are you simply stop sharing those important thoughts and feelings with another.</p>
<p>And when you stop communicating what is real for you one&#8217;s growth and development slows down measurably.</p>
<p>Did you know that can actually die of disease caused by this kind of hurt or by an unnatural attempt at withholding what MUST be share with another in order to be well?</p>
<p>My challenge to you here is find someone on someones who are able to do the following for you.</p>
<p>1. Listen to you fully, without adding anything.</p>
<p>2. Get all of you during your sharing &#8211; that is to<br />
listen by standing in your shoes.</p>
<p>3. Accept you fully, regardless of what you are saying.</p>
<p>4. Make you right even when you not, because you are.</p>
<p>5. Consistently see and acknowledge your best even when<br />
you cannot.</p>
<p>One of the many advantages of having a coach is that your coach is there for you and always puts you first.</p>
<p>With friends, family and business partners, they&#8217;ll need their time at some point, too.</p>
<p>And, being human, they may not be able hear or handle your innermost thoughts and concerns.</p>
<p>But a coach is trained to hear just about anything and not have it get in the way of their relationship with you.</p>
<p>And yes, after close to 20 years of coaching, I have heard it all.</p>
<p>So remember this, the more you are willing and able to share your fears, concerns, thoughts, opinions and needs you have with you coach, the easier you will reach your goals and express your values.</p>
