Overcoming the dreadful question “What do you do?”
Elevator pitches are powerful marketing tools that tell your story quickly. They are useful for any business person to have in their bag of networking tools.
Do you hate it when you are at a networking event and someone ask you “What do you do?” If so here is a simple exercise that can help you overcome that dreadful question.
Feel free to leave your elevator pitch in the comment section below.
Nice refresher Greg.
The trick for me is to have the question that moves the conversation on, e.g.
“I facilitate forums for progressive business owners and leaders who want to grow their wealth though sharing experience, knowledge and ideas in order to make better decisions and enjoy life to the full.”
“What’s the issue that’s keeping you awake at night?”
Hi Richard, I love your elevator pitch. It’s crisp, clear, attractive with a powerful question at the end. Very nice my friend.
Greg, A wonderful video on the importance and how to write your own elevator pitch. Once again, I’m reminded of how we all know what to do and what to say in our business lives, but rarely have the correct words crafted to easily explain “what we do.”
At our next coaching session, please ask me to share my 3-4 elevator pitches.
Thanks for taking the time to put this together, Chuck
