Project Planning Checklist For Both Personal And Professional Goals


Project planning is a powerful process for achieving both personal and professional goals.

The process of goal-setting helps you choose where you want to go in work and in life and project planning is how you are going to get there. By knowing exactly what you want to achieve, you know where you have to concentrate your efforts. You’ll also quickly spot the distractions that would otherwise lure you from your desired outcome.

More importantly than this, proper goal-setting and project planning can be incredibly motivating, and as you get into the habit of setting and achieving goals, you’ll find your self-confidence builds fast.

Start to Achieve Your Lifetime Goals Now and Begin Your Project Plan!

1. When is your project completion date?

2. How much personal or business income will your project generate?

3. Project goal: My project goal is… (measurable # of clients served or products sold)

4. What is your purpose for accomplishing this project? (need based or value based)

5. List all activities that must be done to accomplish your project on time.

6. What would be the conditional targets of the project? (budget, marketing, etc)

7. What needs to be improved in order for you to complete 100% of your goal?

8. Prepare a marketing plan (if applicable)

9. List all the possible people that are resources for you to contact. Who is the top in your field?

10. List all operational targets needed to achieve this project, include people to meet, phone calls to make, letters to write, promotional materials, hiring, meetings to plan, supplies needed, people to train.

11. Whom do you need agreement from, and what do they need in order to complete this project on time?

12. What new skill’s, knowledge or information is required for you to complete your project on time.

13. List all the possible obstacles you perceive to be between you and the completion of your project and a list of possible solutions.

14. Brainstorm with your support system or coach for other possible activities to do in order to reach your goal/project on time.

15. Review and date each activity as to when it should be started and completed to reach your project completion date.

16. Prepare your “do this week”

17. Prepare your “do today”

18. Schedule time for: yourself, relationships, family and friends, hobbies, meditation, etc…

19. Review your “do this week” with support system or coach.

20. Ask for help!!!
